ABOUT ANGIE

My mantra is to Lead Where You Are. This philosophy has guided me for as long as I can remember. It is an action-focused, no-excuses statement – like me. 

I am a trained and accomplished business executive and experienced leadership coach. Most of my career was spent in the legal industry. I joined the law firm of Levenfeld Pearlstein (LP) in its founding year as Director of Finance, and grew into the role of Chief Executive Officer, serving in this capacity until I retired in 2022. I was excited to be at the center of leading an unknown, start-up law firm in Chicago to a nationally recognized industry leader. LP pioneered a unique law firm model built on the premise that lawyers practice law and business professionals run the firm. It was my great privilege (and challenge) to be the person at the center of proving that this model works.   To learn more about my role at LP, read this: Rethinking Law Firm Partnerships (sebastianstrategies.com) 

My specialty has always been execution. My career as a business leader taught me that successful execution of any plan requires engaged and committed people. My desire to understand and uncover what blocks people from engaging and executing led me to coaching. I find coaching to be an unsurpassed tool for generating awareness, navigating resistance to change, and creating capacity for growth. I was fascinated with the interface of business strategy and human complexity and decided to become a coach. Now, I offer both business strategy and coaching support for optimal impact. 

I received my coaching training at the Institute for Transformational Leadership at Georgetown University and am certified by the International Coaching Federation as a Professional Certified Coach. I earned an MBA while working full-time at LP and raising my family. I am also a Certified Public Accountant in Illinois.  

I am a mom, public servant, volunteer, Ennea 8, speaker, and aspiring author. I am passionate about learning, travel, financial security, charting new paths, and helping people to realize and grow into their potential. 

Fun Fact: I have hiked the Portuguese, Primitivo, Finisterre, and Via Podiensis routes of the Camino de Santiago, each as solo journeys. The nature photos on this website are personal photos taken by me during my Caminos. Soy por siempre una peregrina (I am forever a pilgrim).
